I recently had the unfortunate experience of having to use a funeral director in Eastbourne and Payne & Sons were recommended to me as being a competent and honest family firm.
Their dealings with us were exemplary. Not only were they kind and understanding, but they were ready to adapt their usual arrangements to our specific needs so that the final funeral of the deceased person was exactly as he would have wanted and it impressed all mourners and the congregation at the funeral service.
I should add that we were impressed not only by the service offered by Payne & Sons but also by the cost. I certainly recommend the company.Added September 14, 2019 by exhallalcester - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The staff at Payne’s were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. They were professional and respectful throughout. We used their funeral hall with the projector so we were able to have photos of our Dad’s life showing during the service, which made for an extra special part of the service. I would recommend Payne’s to anyone, their caring ways and helpfulness is just what you need at such a difficult and sad time for everyone. Special thanks to Lee and Eddie for everything you both did to make a very difficult day a bit easier to deal with, so thank you both, Eddie was always very sensitive to how we were feeling and we never felt rushed in anyway throughout.
